This is needed in order to run a proper (non-fallback) GNOME session remotely. With GNOME 3.8, the fallback session has been dropped, making GLX a requirement. It looks like the Fedora project has deployed a small TigerVNC patch to deal with this shortcoming. I've applied their patch with minor changes to our xorg-x11-Xvnc package and confirmed that it fixes the problem. I don't know if the patch is still needed in Factory. We should check, and apply it there if so.
