https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=855989 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=855989#c2 --- Comment #2 from Bernhard Voelker <mail@bernhard-voelker.de> 2014-03-12 07:46:17 UTC --- Oops, the issue seems to have been fixed by an update: Before trying pcie_ports=compat, I wanted to reproduce the message flooding. Therefore, I commented the above writing to /sys/bus/pci_express/drivers/pciehp/unbind in my /etc/init.d/boot.local, and rebooted. Strangely, the lines do not appear anymore - see in the attached 'messages-with-pciehp.xz'. I'm not booting this PC regularly, so the last time these messages appeared (before boot.local could stop it), was on Feb. 25th, 2014. There has already been a reboot on Mar 4th which didn't show this effect either (strange the reboot is showing up in pairs here BTW): $ last | grep boot | head -n10 reboot system boot 3.11.10-7-deskto Wed Mar 12 08:14 - 08:23 (00:08) reboot system boot 3.11.10-7-deskto Wed Mar 12 08:14 - 08:23 (00:08) reboot system boot 3.11.10-7-deskto Wed Mar 12 08:08 - 08:14 (00:05) reboot system boot 3.11.10-7-deskto Wed Mar 12 08:08 - 08:14 (00:05) reboot system boot 3.11.10-7-deskto Tue Mar 4 07:40 - 08:05 (8+00:25) reboot system boot 3.11.10-7-deskto Tue Mar 4 07:40 - 08:05 (8+00:25) reboot system boot 3.11.10-7-deskto Tue Feb 25 17:53 - 07:39 (6+13:46) reboot system boot 3.11.10-7-deskto Tue Feb 25 17:53 - 07:39 (6+13:46) reboot system boot 3.11.10-7-deskto Wed Feb 12 23:06 - 07:39 (19+08:33) reboot system boot 3.11.10-7-deskto Wed Feb 12 23:06 - 07:39 (19+08:33) Therefore, an update between Feb. 25th and Mar. 4th seems to have brought the fix.
