When you say it works with "upstream versions", you mean you built sphinxbase+pocketsphinx 5prealpha, right? At some point in the past I tried packaging 5prealpha but had compatibility problems with some packages that expected 0.8 so I only submitted these packages to Factory. I guess we should try to package both so everyone can choose since new applications probably use that "prealpha" dependency. Could you test them? - You'll need to add the home:alarrosa:branches:multimedia:voice-assistant project to your repositories in zypper ( https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/alarrosa:/branches:/multime... ) - Then install the sphinxbase and pocketsphinx packages from that repo . Those updates are necessary since they install some binaries as alternatives to make the new packages co-installable. - And finally, install the sphinxbase5 and pocketsphinx5 packages (and I guess you'll also need the respective -devel packages). The binaries in those packages have a higher priority so they'll be preferred automatically.
