Bug reports concerns the "Factory"-repos, also for KDE4.2:

I recently changed the Qt-version from 4.4 to 4.5RC, as on the KDE mailing list
this switch was announced for KDE4.2 in factory. I don't know if the problem is
related, as I did a complete update then.

However, now my USB keyboard does no longer work, as soon as KDE is started. It
works during the boot process, however, and it works - even in KDE - if
starting in runlevel 3 and doing a "init 5" only after the system has booted.
