JFYI, we're talking about a driver (G04/390.x), which is needed to support
Fermi-based nvidia GPUs (year 2010-2012) or older. The driver is EOL since end
of 2022. No update planned. 

No idea what would be required to address that issue from nvidia side.
Personally I could live with dropping it for Tumbleweed. 

And maybe after more than 10 years it's time to replace the gfx card. Meanwhile
there are small, affordable Turing cards available like "NVIDIA Quadro T400"
for about $200.
