Sometimes, but not always my X server dies after the system has successfully
resumed from hibernation. It is restarted then, so I can login, but of course
my previous session is lost. It *seems* to happen only, when the notebook is
connected to the Thunderbolt dock (see below) and the external monitor is used.

Xorg.log.old contains:
