Apologies for the long delay without reactions on your issue.

since you filed this issue, Tumbleweed has moved ahead in blazing speed and
GNOME has seen at least 5 major upgrades. 

It is my believe that this issue should have been addressed by one of the major
updates. Mainly taking into account that there have been no duplicates or
further reports of the same kind.
