A test kernel shows the compatible kABI, and a quick test on KVM works for Nvidia KMP, so I pulled the fix now in openSUSE-42.1 branch. Also per Michal's suggestion, the symvers and symtypes are imported to git tree from Leap 42.1 GM ISO. It's just for future checks. I'll resubmit tomorrow after checking the whole builds work on KOTD.
