I tried it and guilt is "working" again, at least it starts.
How compatible it is with the latest version of git has to be seen.
But I do not expect big API changes with git anymore and guilt should not use a
whitelist for git versions.
I expect this is the fix:
1.5.*) ;; # git config
1.6.*) ;; # git config
1.7.*) ;; # git config
+ 1.8.*) ;; # git config
*) die "Unsupported version of git ($gitver)" ;;
So this will break again with git version 1.9.x ...
Better would be to allow all upcoming git versions. Or I'd simply eliminate the
check, I never had problems with guilt and specific git versions and I use it
for quite some years now.
If there are git incompatibilities people should run into them and report bugs,
so that these issues can be fixed.
