strace

Since last tumbleweeed update I have a strange pheonomenon:
vmware-workstation 16.0 (gtk application) starts but the window is completely
invisible, although the application is visible with ps -aux:

/usr/lib/vmware/bin/vmware

The only thing that changed was the TW update, so I would blame changes in the
gtk environment for that. Other GTK application (firefox, thunderbird,
libreoffice) work fine. current TW version:

I have no idea how to debug this. Enclosed is an strace log, would be nice if
someone could have a look at it ...
