After this patch [1] the wrapper falls back to smbspool when AUTH_INFO_REQUIRED is not set to negotiate, so one can have SMB printers authenticated by kerberos and SMB printers authenticated by username,password on the same system. Looks like yes, we could drop the samba-krb-printing package, point smb backend to smbspool_krb5_wrapper and remove the "Support AD" checkbox in the yast2-printer.
