I'm using the "Misc Fixed" font in both xterm and KDE Konsole, in xterm this command display the word "bold" nicely in bold face: echo -e "\x1b[1mbold\x1b[0m" In KDE Konsole the regular face is used. If I change the font to to "Monospace" it works. Also with other ttf fonts I see the same problem. I.e. with Liberation Mono or Terminus.
