Environment: * Tumbleweed (20220323) * Gnome 42 Wayland * ibus 1.5.25-2.2 * ibus-libpinyin 1.12.1-1.5 Description: By upgrading to Tumbleweed snapshot 20220323, Gnome has been upgraded to version 42. After entering the desktop, ibus-daemon is running in background but it does not work as expected. Input method icon is not shown on the top bar. Can't switch input method using keybinding. Trying to re-add the input method from Gnome Settings > keyboard > Input Source, the installed input method (for example, ibus-libpinyin) cannot be found. Workaround: kill ibus-daemon, and restart the process manually: $ ibus-daemon --panel disable -r --xim -d After that, the input source can be found and added. Solution: According to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1964682, the problem is fixed in ibus 1.5.26. So, please upgrade ibus to version 1.5.26 as soon as possible.
