At lease libreoffice still provides mime-info (obsolete since 2002).

And desktop-file-translations still contains tools to collect mimelnk.

(I did not test the whole distribution.)

It would be nice to write a post build check that will ban these directories.

Also /usr/share/application-registry should be banned. It is GNOME 1 stuff, and
libreoffice still provides it.
