Hi Brian,

The HPC packages - the ones with the string "-hpc-" in their name - use macros
provided by suse-hpc
with the goal of providing packages for several compilers and openmpi versions.
At this moment,
lua-lmod only works with these packages
We have already noticed this is not ideal and have the intention of changing
the package to address
the issue you report.  Please see bug 1159563
(https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1159563), 
we'll try to look at it for the next lua-lmod update.
