When /boot is located on a RAID device, boot loader must be installed on every drive that is part of that RAID, otherwise if the first drive fails, the system cannot boot up. Steps to Reproduce: 1) Install using the following partition layout: / -> /dev/md0 -> /dev/sda1, /dev/sdb1 2) Remove the first drive (/dev/sda) The system should boot up in degraded mode like it does if the second drive (/dev/sdb) is removed.
