Comment # 1 on bug 510851 from Daniel Mach

This was discussed and prototyped in osc2[1] but never used in production.
Changing the current osc is not possible because it would be backwards
incompatible change. We'll definitely consider this when designing the next
major version of osc. It's tracked[2] upstream already.
