> CANTFIX

The debian way is to provide the script make-jpkg
(https://wiki.debian.org/JavaPackage) which produces a valid deb-package out of
the Oracle tar.gz . So there are options.

However the better solution would be to officially talk to the Oracle guys to,
e.g., put a case distinction for the os in the rpm installer script. Or maybe
to make a bug entry upstream. 3 jdk versions ago, the rpms installed
flawlessly, or at least without errors.

Did fedora switch from update-alternatives to alternatives? Or what could be
the reason of the problems with newer Oracle JDKs with opensuse? They do not
specify on their downlaod page for which distributions the rpms work.
