First, YaST does not offer a comparable option, and it does not tell you before how many MBs it will download. Second, given the size of texlive, wouldn't it be easier to offer an ISO download that can be added as a local repository? The time when there was one huge package ist quite some time ago, just as the time when I had Linux, X11, gcc and Emacs on a machine with 8MB RAM and a 20MB partition... ;-) I just don't like bloated software.
