When trying to use credential-cache as follows (as per docs): git config --global credential.helper cache I see this error: error: cannot run git-credential-cache--daemon: No such file or directory fatal: unable to start cache daemon: No such file or directory This is because the binary is in git-daemon package. It should be in git-core the same as the helper.
