Normal xterm should be able to display utf8 without issues. The front picked by the uxterm resources is a bit more complete, however according to ta test i just did, Cyrillic should be fine with xterm as well. The original issue seemed to have been a corrupt font file. Let's close this, now. If you still run into issues please reopen.
