According to the kernel documentation kernel resume is not support from an LVM2
partition at all. So it should not work for me at all. I find this a bit hard
to believe, maybe the code has been improved but the the documentation has not
been updated.

I have asked the suspend maintainers, let's see whether we get an answer.
