Using vim-plugin-NERDtree, new files and folders can not be created. And error appears but it goes away too fast for me to screen capture and diagnose further :( To reproduce: Open Vim Open NERDTree: (ESC, :NERDTree) In the file gutter attempt to make a file/folder by pressing the key shortcut "m" while in command mode: Expected: I am prompted to create the file/folder Actual: An error message appears briefly then disappears.
