Thanks for testing! I pushed the fix to my SLE15-SP1 branch. It'll take some time until the fix reaches to Leap 15.1, unfortunately, because of several merge paths. Hopefully this will be handled soonish. Although this is "fixed" in the kernel side, I keep the bug open since it's basically a bug in X modesetting driver, according to the upstream bugzilla.
