User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/65.0.3325.181 Safari/537.36 Build Identifier: On a clean install of Tumbleweed (BTRFS) in VMware workstation 14, I tried booting from a snapper snapshot. After selecting the snapshot to boot from, it does not boot. Instead if gives the following error message: error: null src bitmap in grub_video_bitmap_create_scaled. Press any key to continue... The result is that one cannot rollback to a snapper snapshot, in case the system breaks. Kind of a major issue. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Installed Tumbleweed as virtual machine in VMware Workstation 14. 2. In the bootscreen, selected the following: a) Start bootloader from a read-only snapshot b) Select whatever snapshot your prefer. c) Bootable snapshot #2 3. At this point, the following option is shown: "If OK, run 'snapper rollback' and rebot. 4. Clicked <enter> to continue. Actual Results: Now the screen shows: error: null src bitmap in grub_video_bitmap_create_scaled. Press any key to continue... Expected Results: The correct result would be that the snapshot is booted. What I tried to fix it: Disabled "Use graphical console" in the kernel parameters of Yast's Bootloader section, to determine if the problem is caused by the openSUSE theme. This didn't resolve the problem unfortunately.
