This doesn't look like a bug in Akonadi (or KDE for that matter) at all.

The error message is this:
Cannot remove old log file - running on a readonly filesystem maybe?

So, fix your home partition, and it should work.

You might also try to delete the old log files in ~/.local/share/akonadi/
manually (the files *.old), that might give an indication what's wrong exactly
(may be wrong file permissions).
