Ok, I try to be as clear as possible (for me). I did install a new leap. I did take over some of the /home/user accounts of a preexisting 13.2 In the mayor part of these accounts sound works in FF. BUT.... (and now it gets complicated): when I did try to take over the account in question, sound did not work. It did not work in 13.2 either. So I did set up a brand new user. I just used dolphin to take over the existing user created files (only the ones that are visible no the .sth files of the hidden directories. Now..you would expect that this should work. Noop. In this account as soon as I copied my files something inadvertently copied does break the integration of pulseaudio with ff when trying to reproduce that site. So I am very worried about that dynamic, as I created the new user on purpose, to be sure not to have that problem again. (BTW that was a growing problem. In 13.2 first Seamonkey failed with that site, then FF, then Chromium too!). At the end even Konqueror did not produce anything any more. Installing all files of gstreamer again from packman forcibly, this restored only konqueror, which was not enough for me. So I did install leap. I am not able to see ANY difference of the users that have been migrated and that do not have that problem and the user that does have that problem. I have however STILL that problem and it makes me a bit "sick" as I was using both seamonkey and FF for that site. None of which works. Konqueror and Chromium (since I migrated) do work. The about:config did not have any changes, the plugins are there, the extensions have not been installed to eliminate any source of problem. Still it does not work. The scope is to find out why it does not work and how can it be that it can be "copied" when I am just migrating some unrelated file. I did erase the whole .mozilla folder in that user, no changes. attachment: zypper info gstreamer If you need more info, please point me to the command, this is the one I found but it does not list all installed files.
