Apparently this last entered comment only appears when "yast network" is used. Configuring the network via "yast" -> System -> "Network configuration" works. When entering "yast" a warning is shown: /usr/share/YaST2/clients/lan.rb:138: warning: duplicated key at line 143 ignored: "bootproto" And indeed "bootproto" is defined twice in that .rb file.
