With the boot options you're passing, it's impossible to use the native
graphics.
Why do you put such options?  These seem coming from the fallback menu entry,
not from the normal boot.

Try without extra options at first, e.g. just pass "resume=/dev/sda1
splash=silent quiet showopts"

Another bug report you mentioned (bug 966593) is also because of these weird
boot options.
