Just to be sure: you've tested only installer, and not actually installed the system? If 42.2 works and installed, you can upgrade to 42.3 kernel while keeping the rest as is. You can fetch the 42.3 GM kernel package from: http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/42.3/repo/oss/ and simply do zypper in kernel-default-xxx.rpm. If this works, the next step would be 42.3 update kernel: http://download.opensuse.org/update/leap/42.3/oss/ Then the next step would be 15.0 kernel: http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/15.0/repo/oss/ BTW, when you test multiple kernels, it'd be better to increase the multi-version setup in /etc/zypp/zypp.conf beforehand. Edit the file, and change the line containing multiversion.kernels = latest,latest-1,running to more versions, e.g. multiversion.kernels = latest,latest-1,latest-2,latest-3,running
