Nobody cares? Well, then... I didn't ask the people, but from the recent heated discussion in tz mailing list I grasped few things: 1. Maintainers don't like to introduce new links and rather delete them (so we are on our own here). 2. Many programs using the tz database (especially the ones written in/for java) don't respect any links anyway. 3. The database is inconsistent in many ways, but every attempt to fix it hits the wall. So it only confirms the things Marguerite wrote. But I think trying to fix jira would be hopeless (because java). Chromium could still be saved, but we need maintainers insight to it.
