I suggest to set the module to "unsupported" for SLE11 and not load it explicitly anymore there (this is what you want, to get rid of the Enterprise support for this, right?). Nobody pays more money for the OS than the machine, so there is no need for support on SLE11. But a lot linux users don't want to throw away their old machines and are happy if things work out of the box.
