Thanks for this explanation, I was also confused by the i386 terminology and assumed that the openSUSE patch to disable Zstd was only for 32-bit Tumbleweed installations. The workaround that I found for this limitation is to enable Zstd compression and run: sudo chattr -R -c +m /boot
