As described by Michael your repository will not get refreshed and therefor be
used if you register it as cd:// or dvd:// or autorefresh is explicitly
disabled.

If autorefresh is enabled it is expected that the user actually wants it to be
refreshed even if the content got changed.

This works as designed.
