openVPN

I log in as a normal user, left click the Network Manager, 

choose the VPN Connections item,
click on "Configure VPN",
click on my connection "SUSE",
click on tab "VPN",
click on the Password field (Store the password only for this user),
then I click "Save"

I do not get any error messages, but the save is ineffective.
When I try to look at the configuration again, the password field is empty (I
would expect "*****").
