Please elaborate: 

What exactly is the problem? 
What do you mean with "y2start depends on ruby 2.2"? 
(And PLEASE don't dump any relevant information in the subject - that gets lost
in a heartbeat).

I don't see any kind of dependency on any specific ruby version here:

  Requires:       ruby

It only says "ruby", not "ruby == 2.2" or anything like that.

How does this problem manifest itself? What do you mean with "y2start fails"?
