I agree with that the debug message should be disabled by default and can be enabled on demand. In case that the OS_PROBER_DEBUG can be selected for any other purpose in the future (for eg, specifying which component to debug or the level of debug verbosity), I'd prefer to use a precise name like OS_PROBER_ENABLE_DEBUG and explicitly set the value (y|yes) to enable debugging.
