I submitted an update (for 13.2 and Leap 42.1):

But again, this won't fix any crashes. It just prevents the screen not being
updated anymore (when compositing is enabled) after a kwin crash because kwin
cannot be restarted (because the crashed instance it still "running").

And note that the update will take at least a week until it is released,
probably a few days longer as it is weekend.
