Hmmm ... just tested on Tumbleweed and Leap 15.2, that is current GNU Emacs
27.1 from OBS and GNU Eamcs 25.3 from standard Leap 15.2 installation. I used
the commmand

   cd /usr/src/linux && time find

... and the Tumbleweed is much faster, to say it is very fast. Whereas on Leap
15.2 I see the status line (Grep: run Compiling) and have to wait.

As I use tcsh I see on Tumbleweed as result of time

  0.042u 0.065s 0:04.96 2.0%    0+0k 0+0io 0pf+0w

and on Leap 15.2

  0.176u 0.223s 0:17.02 2.2%    0+0k 0+0io 0pf+0w

I've repeated that several times to get the trees below /usr/src/linux into
cache
