It is weird. You are not using lvmetad, so it is unlikely to have problem. All the mounts on lvm partition failed or only some failed? Do you have anything special with the physical disks(multipath, iscsi, etc.)? Does it go into maintainance mode when it starts failed? Would you please provide these information? -pvs -vgs -lvs -jounalctl -a -/var/log/boot (it is better with level of DEBUG) Thanks!
