http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=586752 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=586752#c0 Summary: net install using 'install=nfs://1.2.3.4/blah' appends '?device=eth0' to url, which fails Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mcoleman@tradebotsystems.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.8) Gecko/20100214 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Firefox/3.5.8 I'm trying to install via PXE from a DVD iso loop mounted on the pxe/tftp/nfs server. This appears to be failing because the install procedure is appending to the install URL, ultimately trying to nfs mount install=nfs://1.2.3.4/blah?device=eth0 Needless to say, this mount, and thus the install, fails completely. We used the same method for opensuse 11.1 without difficulty. The pxelinux.cfg/default stanza looks like this label opensuse11_2_linux kernel opensuse11_2_linux append initrd=opensuse11_2_initrd splash=verbose vga=0x314 install=http://1.2.3.4/openSUSE11_2x64/CD1 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
