Created attachment 850733 [details] missing badges on openSUSE tumbleweed (bottom), present badges on kubuntu (top screenshot) For apps in the task manager panel (icons only) in KDE's Plasma desktop environment (5.22.2) there are no unread items badges available if that app is based on the electron framework. In Plasma's system settings (Notifications > Configure Apps) I can only configure 'native' KDE apps and for 'other apps' the badge option is always greyed out. Another linux KDE distro (kubuntu in this case) manages to include other apps in the list of configurable apps and shows badges on the task manager app icons. Possibly due to the availability of libunity in that system, which is not readily available for openSUSE Tumbleweed (packages found here do not install or are broken: https://software.opensuse.org/package/libunity).
