It happened first thing this AM after arising from the night's sleep and
finding a fresh forums@microfocus.com email. I hadn't remembered to reload the
open B.O.O. saved search buglist first before clicking its link. After I got
the error page, I remembered to click the saved search link, which dutifully
brought up login.microfocus.com. After the fresh reload of the saved search
page I clicked the try again link in the error page and the forum page loaded.

openSUSE.org is just about the only place where cookies ever become any kind of
obstacle to web functionality here. I never change cookie settings from however
they get shipped. Thus I never think about cookies except when someone on an
opensuse.org mailing list of forum makes a suggestion to delete them.
