Actually this is fixed in current KDE Frameworks 5 versions (i.e. in Tumbleweed and Leap 15.0). Backporting the fix to previous versions (Leap 42.x) was/is problematic though, as it needed adjustments for several applications as well (or they would show too small config dialogs).
