Hello Stefan, your solution from comment#7 worked: 1. /etc/dracut.conf.d/amdgpu.conf This file didn't exist on my system (maybe because I had already uninstalled amdgpu driver), so I skipped to 2. cp -r /lib/firmware/ 5.3.18-lp152.36-default /lib/firmware/5.3.18-lp152.44.1-default After copying this directory and rebooting, the new kernel started up without any problems. Is this a problem that must be fixed with the kernel install/update package or how would I proceed with kernel updates in the future? Thanks for your help.
