OK, let's forget about caribou for this update, we can always do it as a standalone if the update happens to address important bugs. HiDPI support is however badly broken in 13.2, see at least 1. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=741328 2. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=741330. Both are solved by cairo update to 1.14.0 + rebuild of gtk3 and clutter against this updated cairo. I have a test project here: https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/home:badshah400:cairo_update_test and am testing it on my laptop. It has fixed all my HiDPI issues, and since the upgrade to cairo 1.14 is ABI compatible with the version in 13.2, it won't cause issues elsewhere as far as I understand. I believe we should push this too, and I can do the copypac-ing etc. needed to your branch, Bjorn, if you think this will be okay.
