That's the normalized name of the distributions and should be correct.

That would violated the core metadata specification:
https://packaging.python.org/en/latest/specifications/core-metadata/#provides-extra-multiple-use

Upstream fixed the `Provides-Extra:` in
https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/pull/14085, but imposed an upper bound
which should be lifted in Tumbleweed
