Hmm, it seems that this functionality should be provided by cups-pk-helper,
which I do have installed... 

... but hplip is built with --disable-policykit, and anyway the hplip-built in
polkit support seems to be different from what cups-pk-helper provides.

Johannes, do you know why we disable policykit support in hplip?
