Atheros AR9285 wireless card disconnected and attempted to reconnect repeatedly, non-stop after Tumbleweed updated to new version of NetworkManager, version 1.14.6-1.1-x86-64 from Tumbleweed OSS repository on March 3, 2019. I downloaded and reverted to NetworkManager version 1.0.12-6.5-x86-64 from the Leap 42.3 repository, and it worked right away.
