My guess is that no other commenter could reproduce it.. because it is crashing on the lock elision code path in glibc..and that only runs on CPUs that support it and the feature has not been disabled by microcode update in buggy processor revisions.. This report was made on a skylake desktop machine.. which should not have the buggy TSX implementation.. I do not have a desktop machine with Skylake CPU around..
